“The real struggle for us is for the citizen to cease to be the property of the state.”
Everyone wants to be able to shape their own destiny. No one wants to live in a society where their political rights are limited and they have little influence over their country's direction. They want to be engaged citizens, not just subjects.
Unfortunately, there are many governments in the world that abuse their power and seek absolute control. Others are still transitioning to representative governance.
At West Support, we believe that promoting global democracy means empowering individuals at the grassroots level. When people can freely express their views without fear and participate in fair and just political processes, they will have the tools they need to build a democratic future for their country.
